Three Black Men

Black men. Two Wayans brothers creating a seemingly perfect balance sheet. Every white chick’s pride and joy. Fiscal Responsibility! But wait… are they responsible? Are they doing well? Sure they are making money for their networks and managers… but what is being sacrificed in order to do this? All too often the answer is an abundance of environmental and societal concerns.

(Shut the front door) – The new “Triple Bottom Line” (TBL) business model. A business model attempting to replace financial responsibility as the sole measurement of success. Sure, financial responsibility is still the primary concern, however, it may be somewhat compromised for environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Now, I know what you are thinking: How can that drive sales? Why expand accounting? Isn’t accounting a way of worshiping Satan? …And you’re right, children. In the words of Toby Keith “Gotta love this American ride, both ends of the ozone burning, funny how the world keeps turning.”

Three Black Men… a blog criticizing the financial, environmental and social bottom lines movement. It’s about being in the black… in the right way. Measuring success where it counts. Using financial assessments. Three Black Men.
